No verifiable original-X samples or provenance have been supplied, so sample-01–sample-04 are not displayed. The eight works above comprise four 16:9 landscape left–right samples and four 3:4 portrait top–bottom samples. Every work was generated independently by Panel 074 from its own original brief; no artwork from another numbered Panel is reused. The samples use intelligent English copy.

What it solves
Many photo-to-icon treatments simply shrink the source into a rounded square or apply one generic 3D material. They look icon-like but lose the photograph's most powerful relationship and emotion.
Panel 074 first identifies the source's essential subject, action, relationship, and metaphor, then rebuilds them with the fewest necessary elements as an original front-facing pseudo-3D/2.5D icon. The exterior always remains a stable, properly specified 1:1 rounded square; inside, credible occlusion, thickness, relief, and distance create one continuous dimensional space. It aims for subject recognition first, relationship second, and emotion third—not a generic centred object.
Best for
- brand-review-ready icon concepts with a compliant exterior and original internal metaphor;
- preserving a photograph's soul through reconstructed subject, action, and relationship rather than thumbnail insertion;
- soft modern 2.5D volume without plastic-toy, glass-jelly, or game-UI styling;
- top-bottom, left-right, design-only, multi-ratio, wallpaper, and directory-batch delivery.

Quick fit check
| What you need to know | What this style gives you | |---|---| | What you get | An original rounded pseudo-3D icon ready for a brand-identity proposal or icon-concept review | | Recognisable signature | A fixed 1:1 rounded exterior containing a continuous front-facing space built from occlusion, thickness, relief, and distance | | How it respects the source | Subject, outline, pose, and core relationship remain; colour is derived entirely from the source before canonical brightening and hierarchy | | Where it works | Art posters, covers, social content, design-only art, multiple ratios, and four-device wallpaper sets | <!-- xxd-panel-benefit:end -->
Usage tips
- Start with one clear photo: choose a source whose subject, action, and relationships are easy to recognize before choosing the delivery format.
- Join the parameters in one sentence: say “top-bottom / left-right / design-only + 16:9 / 3:4 / phone wallpaper”; you can also name desktop, tablet, or smartwatch sizes.
- State what must stay: identify the people, objects, actions, relationships, and copy to preserve, while leaving room for the style to design the layout.
- Choose a text mode: let the model write from the image, lock exact wording with
--text exact --copy, or remove text completely with--text none. - Clarify reality and design regions: for top-bottom or left-right, say which region keeps the photograph and which region is redesigned; for design-only and wallpapers, say that the whole canvas is redesigned.
- Test one image before batching: confirm mode, ratio, text, and language on one source, then reuse the settings for a folder; change one variable per iteration.

git clone https://github.com/nevertoday/xxd-panel-074.git
mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills
ln -s "$(pwd)/xxd-panel-074" ~/.codex/skills/xxd-panel-074

npx skills add https://github.com/nevertoday/xxd-panel-074 --skill xxd-panel-074
The command fetches the repository from GitHub and installs the same-named Skill for the current agent. To install it in the user-level Codex Skills directory, append --global --agent codex --yes.
Claude Code users may link the same folder under ~/.claude/skills/xxd-panel-074. Restart the agent session after installation.
